Refund Policy

Plain English Summary
- Votes are non-refundable. Once cast, they're cast.
- State-level entry fees are refundable up to 7 days before the State event.

- Tri-State Finals entry is free for advancers; no refund issues apply.

- Errors and fraud are corrected promptly when we discover them.
Vote Purchases
All vote purchases are final and non-refundable. By submitting a vote payment, you acknowledge that:
- Votes are immediately credited to the contestant of your choosing
- Votes cast cannot be withdrawn, transferred, or refunded
- The contestant you supported benefits from your vote in real time
- A free voting option (AMOE) is available throughout the voting window
Exceptions to Vote Non-Refundability
We will issue a refund for vote purchases in the following situations:
- Duplicate charge: If our payment system charged you for the same vote purchase twice
- Technical error: If a system failure resulted in payment but no votes being credited
- Confirmed fraud: If your payment method was used without your authorization (please file a chargeback with your bank in this case and notify us)
- Vote invalidation by us: If we invalidate a contestant's votes due to disqualification, we may pro-rate refunds to affected supporters in our discretion
Entry Fees — State Level
The State level involves entry fees that vary by County placement (top placers receive reduced or waived fees). Refund terms for State entry fees:
- More than 7 days before the State event: Full refund minus a $15 administrative fee
- Within 7 days of the State event: Non-refundable
- If you advance to State as a Top 4 finisher from County, your State entry fee is reduced or waived per the cascading-fee rules in the Master Rulebook
Add-On Entries
Add-on entries ($25 each) are non-refundable once submitted. Add-ons are processed immediately upon payment and entered into competition. If you accidentally purchased the wrong add-on, contact us within 48 hours and we may transfer your payment to the correct add-on at our discretion.
Tri-State Finals
Tri-State Finals entry is free for all contestants who advance from State. There is no entry fee to refund. Travel, lodging, and personal expenses associated with attending the Tri-State Finals are the responsibility of the contestant.
Closet Challenge
The Uplift Closet Challenge is free at every level. There are no fees to refund. Donated items are not returnable.
Chargebacks and Disputes
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer for a vote, fee, or add-on purchase, we may:
- Suspend the related contestant's votes pending resolution of the chargeback
- Invalidate votes cast through the disputed payment
- Disqualify the contestant if the chargeback is determined to be made in bad faith
- Submit evidence of the original transaction to your payment provider
- Add the cardholder to a blocked-payment list for future Uplift transactions
We strongly prefer that you contact us first at info@galaglitteratigroup.com before initiating a chargeback. Most issues can be resolved directly within 1–2 business days.
How to Request a Refund
Email info@galaglitteratigroup.com with:
- Subject line: "Refund Request"
- Your name and the name of the contestant (if applicable)
- Date and amount of the transaction
- The reason for your request
- Any supporting documentation (receipts, screenshots)
We respond to refund requests within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days and may take additional time to appear on your statement.
Cancellation by Uplift
If Uplift cancels an event or competition level for reasons within our control (force majeure events such as severe weather, public health emergencies, or venue cancellations are addressed separately), we will issue full refunds for paid entry fees affecting that level. Vote purchases for ongoing competition windows are not affected by individual event cancellation unless explicitly stated.
Force Majeure
In the event of a force majeure (hurricane, pandemic, government order, venue closure beyond our control), we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule affected events. Refunds for force majeure cancellations are at our discretion and may be issued in the form of credits toward future Uplift competition cycles.
