Add-on categories — open jewelry box with ribbons and crown charms

Photogenic

The single most striking photograph from a contestant's submission package. Celebrates the moment a photo just works — natural light, true expression, undeniable presence.

Cover Model

A polished, magazine-ready image that could lead a glossy spread. Editorial poise, intentional styling, professional finish — the photo that stops the scroll.

Best Smile

That unmistakable, genuine smile that lights up the whole image. No filters required — this celebrates real joy caught on camera.

Best Eyes

Eyes that hold the camera. Expressive, confident, warm — the kind of gaze that draws people in across a room or a screen.

Best Hair

Hair that completes the look — whether that's a flawless updo, natural texture proudly displayed, a curated style, or a fresh cut that just hits. Every texture, length, and approach is welcome.

Best Style

Personal fashion sense from head to toe. Celebrates contestants who put together a look that says "this is me" — sustainable, secondhand, vintage, modern, traditional, or all of the above.

Best Dressed

The single most coordinated, intentional outfit from the submission package. Style is personality; Best Dressed celebrates the look that pulled it all together.

People's Choice

Pure community love. The contestant whose supporters showed up loudest across the voting window. A celebration of grassroots support and authentic community connection.

Congeniality

The contestant other contestants chose. Voted by peers within their directional, county, or state. Celebrates kindness, encouragement, and being a good fellow competitor.

Spirit of Uplift

The contestant who most embodies the mission — Community First. Crown Second. Recognizes a pattern of generosity, service, and lifting others up throughout the season.

Director's Choice

A discretionary recognition from the Uplift director team. Awarded to a contestant whose journey, dedication, or impact stood out behind the scenes — the contestant the organizers couldn't stop talking about.

Judge's Choice

A discretionary recognition from the judging panel. Awarded to a contestant who made an undeniable impression on the judges through performance, presence, or story.

Volunteer Excellence

Recognition for the contestant who showed up — at community events, service days, fundraisers, and Uplift initiatives — and gave their time generously throughout the season.

Community Service Award

Recognition for measurable, documented community impact. Hours served, projects completed, partnerships formed. Celebrates the contestant whose service portfolio speaks for itself.

Uplift Project Award

Recognition for a self-initiated project the contestant designed and executed during the Uplift season. From book drives to mental health awareness campaigns — celebrates contestants who don't wait for permission to make change.

A Fourth Track

Uplift Closet Challenge

A free, parallel title track running through every round. Build the future Uplift Closet, support sustainability, and earn a Champion title — with no entry fee at any level.

Open Titles — Who Can Enter

  • Open Titles are not "either/or" with main divisions. You enter your age division AND any Open Titles you qualify for. No additional entry fee.
  • Self-identification is honored. If you identify with an Open Title category, you qualify. We do not require documentation or proof.
  • Some Open Titles are open to everyone regardless of identity — Miss Kindness Uplift, Miss Inspiration Uplift, Miss Community Hero Uplift, Miss Entrepreneur Uplift, Miss Leadership Uplift, Miss Caregiver Uplift, Miss Survivor Uplift, Miss Military Family Uplift.
  • Other Open Titles celebrate specific identities or experiences — these are entered by contestants who identify with that category. We trust contestants to know which titles fit them.
  • Open Title winners auto-advance. Winning an Open Title at any level guarantees advancement to the next, regardless of overall placement.
